Population and Behavioural Sciences

The Department of Population and Behavioural Sciences is an integral part of the Fred N. Binka School of Public Health, University of Health and Allied Sciences. The department has two units: Health Promotion and Population Studies. However, only the Health Promotion Unit is currently functional. Our core mandate is to promote health behaviors among individuals and communities. As such, we embark on community outreach programmes and school health talks to sensitize individuals, families and communities to adopt health lifestyle and shun unhealthy ones.
