Head of Department’s Welcome Address

It is my pleasure to warmly welcome you to the Department of Family and Community Health. I am honoured to lead a dedicated team of faculty and students who are committed to advancing public health through quality education, innovative research and impactful community engagement. Our department is deeply rooted in the belief that strong families and communities form the foundation of a healthy population. Through our programmes, research initiatives and outreach activities, we strive to promote holistic health and well-being with special focus on nutrition, mental health, reproductive, maternal and child health and population health in general. The department is particularly committed to the evolution of the primary health care system that responds to the emerging challenge posed by non-communicable diseases.
