Miss Ama Twumwaa Acheampong taught Environmental Health, Solid Waste Management, Municipal Sanitary Services, Amenities and Gender and Environmental Healthcare at the undergraduate level at the School of Public Health, University of Health and Allied Sciences, Hohoe between 2014 and 2017. She supervised students on the Vocational Training programme and was a Departmental Examination Officer over the same period. Prior to working with UHAS, she worked with the Ghana Health Service, on the National Tuberculosis Programme-Tuberculosis Prevalence Survey (2013-2014).
Education
Ama is currently a PhD candidate in Epidemiology and Public Health at the Ludwig Maximilian University, Germany, under the Medical Research Programme. She had her Bachelor’s degree in Zoology (2007) from the University of Ghana. She also holds a Master of Philosophy in Environmental Science degree (2011) from the University of Ghana.
