Geoffrey Adebayo Asalu is a food safety and quality assurance expert by training. He is an Assistant Research Fellow in the Department of Family and Community Health, School of Public Health, University of Health and Allied sciences. He contributes to teaching and research in the areas of food safety and public health nutrition.
Education
He holds an MSc degree in Food Bioscience from Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland UK, and a BSc Biochemistry and Nutrition from the University of Ghana, Legon.
Work Experience
Prior to joining the School of Public Health, Geoffrey gained experience in the food industry in the UK, particularly in food safety, quality assurance and new food product development. In May 2016, he received a Mashav Fellowship Award from the Israeli International Development Program to participate in post-graduate training course in food safety in Glasgow, Scotland.
