Dr (Mrs) Veronica Okwuchi Charles-Unadike is an expert in Public Health Education and Promotion, and a Lecturer in the Department of Population and Behavioural Sciences, Binka School of Public Health, University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho, Volta Region, Ghana.
Education
She obtained her Ph.D (2014) in Public Health, Masters Degree (2009), BSc (Hons) (2002) from the University of Nigeria Nsukka. She also completed postgraduate studies in Industrial Health and Safety at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria.
Work experience
Dr Charles-Unadike has experience in teaching, research and community programmes and services across Africa. She began her career as a Senior Programme Officer at Rhema Care Partners International, Port Harcourt, Rivers State before joining the services of University of Nigeria (Alvan Ikoku Campus) where she held several positions, taught several courses and supervised many students in Health Education and Promotion.
Science/Research output
Dr Charles-Unadike has worked on several research and consulting projects centered on public health education, health communication, mental health, health promotion, adolescent health, family planning, maternal and child health and industrial safety. She has participated and coordinated research, consulting and publication projects. She has published widely with more than 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals including book chapters, proceedings, technical reports and conference papers. She has served as Secretary and/or member of over 10 Committees as part of community services.
