Dr. Joyce Komesuor is a Lecturer at the Department of Population and Behavioural Sciences (Health Promotion), School of Public Health, University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho, Volta Region, Ghana.
Education
She obtained her PhD in Health Promotion from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. She had her Master of Philosophy also in Health Promotion from the University of Bergen, Norway. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Ghana and teacher’s Certificate ‘A’ from Abetifi Presbyterian Training College.
Work Experience
As a Trained Teacher Dr Komesuor has taught in various basic schools in Ghana, she also taught at Regent University college of Science and Technology between 2011 to 2014. Dr. Komesuor has been working at the University of Health and Allied Sciences since 2014 in various capacities including teaching, conducting research, supervising, and mentoring undergraduate students.
Science/Research output
Dr Komesuor’s area of interest is Migration and Health. She is a researcher with quality peer reviewed articles published in internationally reputed journals and has submitted abstracts for conference presentations internationally. She is also a reviewer for African Journal of Reproductive Health, and a member of the International Union of Health Promotion and Education.
Her area of interest is in migration and health.
