Schneider L. Amartey is Head of The ICT unit in University of Health and Allied Sciences, School of Public Health (Hohoe), Ghana. Prior to this, he was the Acting Head of Department and a lecturer at West End University College Ghana and a business Analyst with Adidas Headquarters Germany.
Education
Schneider had his Bachelor degree in Information Technology at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology Australia, and later pursued a Master of Science Business Informatics from the University of Mannheim, Germany.
Work Experience
In 2008, Schneider completed his one year internship as an Executive Demo Developer with SAP, AG in Germany. He then moved to adidas Headquarters as a business analyst for 2 years. During this time, he worked as a change manager and service manager as well as coordinating IT projects. In 2014, he relocated to Ghana and took a lecturing and consulting role in West End University College.
He also worked with Nyansa Africa Ghana and Educom Germany as a freelance business trainer. He has a solid experience with business analysis and International IT business projects due to his work experience with SAP Headquarters in Germany.
Science/Research Output
Schneider Amartey´s area of research is in ICT for development (IT4D). His main focus areas are agriculture and health as well as education. He has worked on creating IT solutions for the agricultural sector in emerging economies with the Bill and Melinda Gate foundation.
